This was an exciting day for Sasha (and Mama)! After 7 years of ballet, Sasha was invited to go on pointe this year. We went to the dance shop with all of the other girls who started pointe this year and spent over an hour trying on pointe shoes for just the right shoe. Her teachers were there to help out and make sure the girls learned the proper way to put on shoes and what materials to use for padding.
As it turns out, Sasha has the same shape feet as her Mama does: wide and long! Her first pointe shoes are the same brand and make as my first pointe shoes. We thought that was pretty special.
Now that Sasha has earned her first blister from pointe shoes, she's officially a ballerina!
